Own the night...

Becky here!

I have a huge collection of shoes, mainly going out ones.
I'm going to share with you how i would style each up using my trusty mannequin, Ivy (she's got one hot body)

P.S. some of the photos are still pretty bad quality. Still waiting on that camera!

1. Brown wedges from Dorothy Perkins
Casual BBQ
Denim Jacket: Warehouse
Maxi dress: Warehouse
Bag: Primark

A very casual outfit. It is important to wear the wedges with the maxi as it is a very long dress so it would trail on the floor. Also the wedge gives me extra height, making me appear taller where they are hidden.

2. Brown Booties: Head Over Heels
 City Cocktails
Necklace: Charity Shop
Peplum Jersey Dress: Warehouse
Bag: Oasis
This is a straight from work look. You've still got your oversized bag; so throw your blazer inside and rock a shoulder with your city comfy, yet super chic bootie heels.

3. Wedge Lace Ups from Henry Holland
Unfortunately the outfit i would usual wear with these is currently with a friend. Being an off brown sandy colour they are a little difficult to match with most things, but look great when you do.

4. Brown strappy wedges from New Look
Holiday Dinner

Dress: Warehouse
Belt: Unknown
Bikini Top: Topshop
This dress is actually an oversized scarf. You can pin and tie oversized scarves in many different ways to create lots of different looks from Maxis, To throw overs. (Tutorial soon!)
The wedges add the perfect height to transform a loose hanging dress into something with a little bit of casual elegance.

5. Cream platform and stilettos from Primark
Wedding Attire

Dress: Warehouse
Belt: warehouse
This is the outfit i wore to a wedding. super comfy yet very elegant. The shoes have a hidden platform and a slight snake print that elongate the leg with a little twist. they did KILL me by the end of the night, but no pain no gain, right?

6. Black Flatform heels from Limitless at Dorothy Perkins
Gig Night

Dress: Primark
Belt: Primark
Blazer: Warehouse
Bag: Primark
This is the perfect outfit for a gig. The shoes are flatforms so it gives you great height with the same balance as wearing regular flat shoes (plus, when you're at a gig, you need all the height you can get!). The dress and blazer combo is cute yet quirky enough to be comfy and fashionable at the same time.

7. Red peep toe stilettos from Dorothy Perkins
50's Chic

Crop top: Warehouse
Pencil Skirt: Warehouse
Bag: Elizabeth Arden

the PERFECT outfit for a 50's inspired party or night out. I wore this myself to a friends 19th 50's themed party and won best dressed! The bag is actually a makeup bag, but its huge and washable, perfect for those white wine spills! The heel is of a reasonable height, not super huge like most of my others, and the height compliments the length of the skirt perfectly! Can you say chic?

8. Green Snakeskin platforms from Primark
Summer date night

Dress: Warehouse
Neclace: Dorothy Perkins

It's a hot night, you're going on a date. You want to look pretty, stylish and edgy. Is that even possible?
It is if you combine harder pieces with softer shapes and materials. That's exactly what i have done here. These shoes are MASSIVE. they are probably the highest heel i own. Perfect when your date is 6ft tall and handsome. The print is subtle enough not to draw too much attention away from the dress and you, but you would still kick ass.

9. Buckled Strappy wedges from Bertie
Punk Rock

Dress: Dorothy Perkins (Petite)
Jacket: Warehouse
Neclace: Dorothy Perkins
THESE ARE MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE SHOES. The perfect amount of sass and cool. They add a hard edge to any outfit. I added them to this knee length tshirt dress with a complimentary spike necklace to really rock this plain tee up a notch. Plus, its got to be a bonus that they are so comfy i could wear them all night.

10. Black platform Stilettos from Primark
Dress von Tease

Dress: Warehouse
Bag: Ralph Lauren
Every girl has a pair of heels they trust, and these are mine. they are my go to heel, plain but perfect. The dress has a lot going on with the sheer panel and cold choker, so i teamed it with this heel not to distract. I could probably throw these shoes on with anything from jeans to shorts, but this is probably my favourite combination.

11. Chelsea Heels from Topshop
Pub Quiz

Dress: Topshop
Bag: Topshop
Belt: Warehouse
These boots are so comfy that I've worn them to 9 hour shifts at work, and i stand all day. They have a hidden platform so give great height with stability. they are so easy to throw on with most looks to create that city cool. They compliment the shape of this little piece and elongate the leg line enough to stop the length of the dress from making the legs look short. Great buy!

12.Cut out stilettos from Topshop
Party Animal

Dress: Warehouse
Belt: Primark
Phone clutch: Topshop
These shoes are cuts and slits at the front and sides, showing just a little bit more of the foot in a totally not gross way. they compliment the slit style of the dress and despite being quite nigh rise at the front, they don't cut the length of the legs because of the platform. PERFECT.

These are of course just suggestions. I wear these shoes all the time with different outfits and mix and match with leggings and jeans.
Remember to be creative.

You never know until you try!

xoxo Becky
